Once you determine the areas of your website that need improvement, develop a plan to start implementing changes.

You don’t have to do them all at once – do a few at a time until you have a website that you can be proud of (and one that consistently brings in sales).

Keeping your overall structure in mind, use your navigation menu to visit one page of your website a month - start at the top and head downwards. Review that page over the month and make it the best it can be. Ask yourself if you really need that page, what's its focus? Make sure all content is relevant and fresh, nothing outdated.

Check:

  • headings
  • search engine optimisation
  • content - dates, pricing, spelling, grammar
  • images, including ALT tags
  • links
  • META tags - title and description

Once you reach the bottom of your navigation menu, start again at the top - your website will always be fresh and relevant.
